x264vfw is the VfW (Video for Windows) version of well known x264 encoder + ffh264 decoder (from FFmpeg project).
it's a very good project.
Best VFW Codec !!
VFW best for VirtualDub
VFW should die, just use the x264 cli version
VFW also known as Video for Windows is still the best API ever.
good
x264 as VFW codec - a nice solution for lazy people (like me) who don't like to change their encoding habits. ;)
All those over at doom9 bashing x264 VfW and claiming it does not work: get a life! There's not other way to use Deshaker and a H264 codec together than with Virtualdub and x264VfW. Works like a charm, no issues at all.
Best encoder by quality/bitrate ratio! Thanks so much!
Good Project,quality best, perfomance loose
I looked around and i did not found any better codec than this. I use it, i recommend it, i like it :), thank you for this codec!
The x264vfw_20_1195bm_19501.exe has worse quality than x264vfw_17_1145bm_18747.exe. I don't really recommend the latest version, but DON'T give up! x264vfw is the best codec this is my opinion.
x264 has better quality than Mpeg and Divix. I like this codec, but a little bit slow, but it doesn't matter.
wery good encoding soft. It would be even better/faster if it could use GPU acceleration aswell, when encoding. http://developer.amd.com/gpu/ATIStreamSDK/Pages/default.aspx
Good&simple tool
Thank you very much, from Norway. It's lovely to have x264 support in viritualdub. who have so many filters to play with. Hoping for newer x265vfw version soon, who has implementest latest x254 tweaks. Now where is the paypal donation button :D
very good
"There's not other way to use Deshaker and a H264 codec together than with Virtualdub and x264VfW." Wrong, you export to lossless from Vdub and then encode in an x264 GUI/CLI. Don't misinform people. With AvsP there's no need for VirtualDub with H.264.
There will be a x265 project?
