Check the Drag&Drop sample in the demo of wxPerl-0.14.

I'm using Perl-5.6.1-Win32, wxPerl-0.14 (from CVS at 30/04/2003),
wxWindows-2.4.0, compiled with VC++6.

About skeep support for wxWindows-2.3x, I agree, since wxWindows will not
mantain this versions! Who compile their own binaries is able to update
wxWindows-src. But you need to add some alert in the MakeFile.PL, or any
other place, to see what version of wxWindows will be used to compile, like
the WXDIR alert.
