WURFL 2.0.7 has been released.

WURFL 2.0.6 has been released.

The WURFL file contains information regarding wireless devices' configurations, capabilities and features. The main scope of this file is to collect as many information as we can about all the existing wireless devices that access WAP pages.

The WNG-1.0-SNAPSHOT has been updated with rack_menu issue solved.

Update is strongly recommended.

WURFL 2.0.4 has been uploaded and is ready for download from Sourceforge. Soon linked on the main website too.

Since the last release 2 months ago we have added about 150 new user-agents and more than 40 real devices.

Many fixes and capability updates are part of this release, of course. Update is strongly suggested.

Due to a problem with the sourceforge mirrors, I re-named and re-uploaded the new WURFL.

Now the mirrors should work.

6 months passed since the last official release on sourceforge.net. This is really too long. We actually provided updated versions through the website, but we also needed a new public release.
This release includes 6 months of work collecting device descriptions and fixing existing data.
While it's a minor release version, it includes tens of new devices and updated information. Upgrading to 2.0.2 is a must for everyone.... read more

A small update to the XSL tools that includes error messages when patching WURFL and a couple of fixes.
Update is suggested.

This is not a major release with regard to features, but I can assure you it's a major release with regards to updates. A LOT of work has been done and a lot of updates, additions, corrections are included.

It took MONTHS to be ready, but now it's here, ready for download.
There are seriously TOO many updates to list here, download the XML and see it for yourself.

We have eventually committed to CVS the new WURFL XML with the new j2me capabilities. All old capabilities have been removed and new names and capabiities were added. This should be a leap forward about j2me in WURFL.

Thanks to Zev we are proud to announce the release of the updated Ruby tools. Version 1.1.0 also includes a new nice tool to generate images with fall_back tree and device dependencies.

I am pleased to announce the public release of version 1.9 of WURFL!
This new release includes MANY, MANY new user agents, lots of data from UAProfiles and MANY fixes and additions to older devices.

I'm really proud of this release which includes so many changes. Contributors have grown dramatically in the last months and the results are this big update.

We need more and more contributors, connections to maker and maybe even donations. If you think you can contribute to the growth of the project make your voice heard!

More updates will come shortly, this release took a long time because there's a lot of work and contribuotions.

We are pleased to announce the official release of WURFL 1.7.

This release does not include any new capability, but as you can see our import system has proven to be very effective since we have now passed 1MB of size!
This is the first release in zip format to help you download it and avoid incomplete downloads.

Thanks to Ola a couple of typos have been fixed.

Also a readme.txt is not included in the release so that developers have a little more help when starting up and some more info on how to use the parser and class.

A new version of the PHP tools is now available. No more need for register_globals, cleaner code and many improvements, specifically in the caching system.
Please make sure you check out the new configuration variables and test the libs deeply so that we can have a final release.

New features include support for the PATCH file.
