Wait wait wait - Some of us using tiling window managers do NOT want "floating." ESPECIALLY _forced_ Floating. My dialogs pop nicely into tiled slots. That's where I want them. In fact, we've fixed our worker setups, using the functionality of the window managers themselves, to handle things the way we want. Which in my case happens to be "NO DO NOT FLOAT. EVER." To me, this seems like an _i3_ issue, not a Worker issue. PLEASE, if we're going to go down this path, make this optional. Some of us have been using Worker under tiling window managers for years, and quite frankly, I'd rather see i3 patched than worker if it doesn't do the "right thing" for the end user.
