Hi Eugene, I'd really like to take a look on the changes you made, as the unpatched version seems to cause more and more deadlocks every day. I already volunteered to write up docs some time ago, but never got around to do so. So I could double-check your changes, test it in production, finally write the docs and get the stuff into the CVS with Anjo's permission.
