[Witme-ferris] STLport and std question

Hi again Ben,

I guess I've stumbled across the problem you mention in your web page.
The linker is complaining about missing symbols in libpqxx and it seems
STL and the std namespace are conflicting.

The question is: which is the correct way to compile/link libpqxx
against STLport ? It is installed in my system, but when compiling
libpqxx it still links to std::string and the like. Also, the package
has no options to specifiy which implementation of STL to use.

Just in case you wonder, I'm using a Gentoo distro and I'm building
everything from scratch.
