Hi, To complete the file_dlg functionality I suggest to add the following procedure to this class: void file_dlg::initial_file(const defs::string& str) { std::fill(files_.begin(), files_.end(), 0); std::copy(str.begin(), str.end(), files_.begin()); } It will allow to specify the file name which will be displayed initially upon the file_dlg startup. The call to std::fill procedure inside the file_dlg::show method should be removed then. Regards, Dmitry |

In the window/dialog.hpp there is a call to the DialogBoxParam with incorrect HINSTANCE parameter (NULL). I guess there should be the same code as before the CreateDialogParam procedure: if (create_params.instance() == NULL) { resource res_info(id); create_params.instance(res_info.instance(RT_DIALOG)); } Because of this missing code there are several drawing issues with some dialog controls. I wrote the following code about toolbar, but it doesn't work: wnd<> top = create_wnd<sdi_frame>(null_wnd); create_wnd<toolbar>(IDR_TOOLBAR1, top); when I run it, strange crash occurs. If I use rebar, as a band's child, it works. But I don't want to use rebar. Is it a bug? TIA. |

Hi, I'm having some trouble with tab dialogs - more specifically, getting tabs added "automatically" via using the resource editor at design time, as in the tab_dialog example in the lib. The example works fine, but when I create my own project, and basically do the same thing, no tabs are created. I have: Main dialog (IDD_XPNDLG), with tab control (IDD_tabdialog1), and 2 static text controls on the tab control, corresponding to the two subdialogs for display on the tabs (IDD_NETWORK_TAB, IDD_LOG_TAB). Upon execution, I just get the dialogs displayed on the tab control at the positions of the static text controls - no tabs are created. I've also tried naming the dialogs exactly like the ones in the example - no luck. Any help would be appreciated. |

Hiya, I asked recently about rebars. I think the best approach for me to take here is to consider one of the example projects that comes with win32gui, namely, the "menus and rebars" project (win32gui-lib/examples/menus/menus and rebars/menus and rebars.sln). In it, a toolbar and then an edit control are added to a rebar. What I'd like to change about the behaviour of the rebar in that project is for: - the edit control to be of a fixed size, say, 100 pixels. - the edit control to follow directly after the last of the toolbar buttons. At the moment, the edit control is either on a separate line of the rebar to the toolbar, or if the app frame is sized to be large enough, the edit control jumps to the top rebar line but it is right-justified. In summary, what I'd like is for the rebar to look similar to this mocked up picture: http://www.stevejay.net/rebar.jpg Bye, Steve |
