Each component contains a Properties.py. UserKit's looks like this: name = 'UserKit' version = (0, 2, 0) docs = [ {'name': "User's Guide", 'file': 'UsersGuide.html'}, {'name': 'To Do', 'file': 'TODO-UserKit.text'}, ] status = 'alpha' requiredPyVersion = (2, 0, 0) synopsis = '''UserKit provides for the management of users including passwords, user data, server-side archiving and caching.''' When you run "python install.py" it compiles all this information into the ComponentIndex.html file. So all information about the status of each component is available on a single page, with links to each individual component. So all that needs to be done is to make sure the synopsis of each component clearly reflects the readiness of the component. - Geoff > -----Original Message----- > From: Love, Jay [mailto:Jay...@us...] > Sent: Thursday, March 14, 2002 4:50 PM > To: Geoffrey Talvola; 'web...@li...' > Subject: RE: [Webware-devel] Plan for 0.7b2 version numbering > > > Errrr... > > Are we sure about this?
