I think that I made this commend before: Twisted is like Java, it wants to handle everything Webware is like Python, it only wants to handle your logic, let the details be managed by native apps that do it better and provide a 'pythonic' interface. Its the difference between writing a SMTP server vs writing an Email Adapter. Of course if you need fast two way communications over a standard protocol (that XML-RPC is too slow for) Twisted may be the way to go. If you need chat - look at Jabber. There are python libraries that you can hook up to from Webware. I never got it to work though. -Aaron |
