I just got a WebKit exception report that HTTPRequest.serverURL() couldn't find an HTTP_HOST environment variable. In fact, all 11 HTTP_FOOBAR variables were missing, while all other ones were present. The only other distinguishing characteristic in the report was that the REQUEST_METHOD was HEAD, as opposed to the usual GET or POST. I then discovered this also happens if I do something like: > telnet localhost 80 GET /webkit/MyApp/ which I wasn't really expecting. I thought it would work and then I would try HEAD and watch it fail. Note that if I browse using Mozilla 0.9, then everything is fine. Also, we get plenty of traffic without this error, so the problem is rare. I'm using Linux, mod_webkit or webkit.cgi, Py 2.1, Webware CVS and Apache 1.3. Anyone else get this? -Chuck |
