It's possible that it's just not set up correctly for your system at all. To get it to work on my systems, I had to compare to other services that worked...like the system-auth config file. It definitely didn't work for me out of the box. I had to play around with it. =G= From: Gino Lisignoli [mailto:gin...@op...] Sent: Wednesday, February 29, 2012 5:58 PM To: Webmin users list Subject: Re: [webmin-l] Webmin Pam / ldap authentication Or rather. Is it possible that pam_ldap.so isn't setup correctly? There is a ldap.conf file in /etc/pam_ldap.conf and it's correct. On 01/03/12 11:51, Gino Lisignoli wrote: Sure Did! Typically, for linux, it would live under /etc/pam.d. =G= From: Gino Lisignoli [mailto:gin...@op...] Sent: Wednesday, February 29, 2012 4:50 PM To: web...@li...<mailto:web...@li...> Subject: [webmin-l] Webmin Pam / ldap authentication Hello! I've managed to get webmin running on an older etch system. But I'm having trouble with gettig pam (ldap) authentication working. I've looked through the mailing list and google but haven't had much luck. Users are able to ssh into the machine using ldap credentials so I'm sure that much is working.
