You don't actually need that Utmp module - the message in the log just indicates that it was not found. If it is missing, Webmin just won't be able to record logins in the system log, as shown by the "last" command. If you can trigger this crash reliably, you could run the command : strace -o /tmp/strace.out -f -p `cat /var/webmin/miniserv.pid` then when the crash happens, email me the last 1000 lines of /tmp/strace.out and I should be able to track down the cause.. - Jamie On 24/Nov/2011 03:30 Joaquim Homrighausen <jo...@we...> wrote .. > [23/Nov/2011:18:58:30 +0100] Reloading configuration > [23/Nov/2011:18:58:38 +0100] [81.26.255.85] > /virtual-server/images/provision.gif : File not found > Failed to initialize SSL connection > Failed to initialize SSL connection > [24/Nov/2011:11:44:01 +0100] miniserv.pl started > [24/Nov/2011:11:44:01 +0100] PAM authentication enabled > [24/Nov/2011:11:44:01 +0100] Perl module User::Utmp needed for Utmp > logging is not installed : Can't locate User/Utmp.pm in @INC (@INC > contains: /usr/share/webmin /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.1 > /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 > /usr/lib/perl/5.10 /usr/share/perl/5.10 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at > (eval 21) line 1. > BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at (eval 21) line 1. > > Failed to initialize SSL connection > Failed to initialize SSL connection > Failed to initialize SSL connection > Failed to initialize SSL connection > [24/Nov/2011:12:27:15 +0100] miniserv.pl started > [24/Nov/2011:12:27:15 +0100] PAM authentication enabled > [24/Nov/2011:12:27:15 +0100] Perl module User::Utmp needed for Utmp > logging is not installed : Can't locate User/Utmp.pm in @INC (@INC > contains: /usr/share/webmin /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.1 > /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 > /usr/lib/perl/5.10 /usr/share/perl/5.10 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at > (eval 21) line 1. > BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at (eval 21) line 1. > > Failed to initialize SSL connection > Failed to initialize SSL connection > [24/Nov/2011:12:28:02 +0100] [195.149.123.2] > /virtual-server/images/provision.gif : File not found > [24/Nov/2011:12:28:15 +0100] Reloading configuration > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > All the data continuously generated in your IT infrastructure > contains a definitive record of customers, application performance, > security threats, fraudulent activity, and more.
