Hi, Using: Webmin 1.430 PostgreSQL 8.3.4 on x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, compiled by GCC cc (Debian 4.3.2-1) 4.3.2 I login to Webmin with my normal user account (my normal Unix system user accounts are synchronized with Webmin's). The PostgreSQL module config seems appropriate and I can see all my databases and navigate through them. However, "Backup All Databases" -> "Backup Now" <selecting an existing directory under my normal user's home directory> fails with messages like this (for every database): ---<---------------cut here---------------start-------------->--- Failed to backup database : pg_dump failed : pg_dump: [archiver] could not open output file "/home/myuser/Databases/db1.sql": Permission denied ---<---------------cut here---------------end---------------->--- So Webmin seems to be running pg_dump for every database, but I don't understand the permissions problem since I can run it fine from a shell, logged in as the same normal user. Any tips? Thanks. Cheers, -- Seb |
