Hi It would be great to have the Linux RAID module in Webmin to add/edit an email address that mdamd can send automatic alerts/notifications to. I find the Webmin Linux RAID module works really well and is a good solution for manually checking the RAID status however there is no support that I could see for setting up an email address to have mdadm send RAID messages to. The test environment I used to test this feature was as follows: - Fedora Core 6 with updates - Webmin 1.360 - 2 x 500GB drives on a Linux Software RAID 1 The Fedora Core 6 install has mdadm with monitoring enabled as a default bootup action. I don't know if this is the case with other versions of Linux but for this setup all that was needed for automated notification via email was to add the following to the mdadm.conf file. MAILADDR my_email_address.domainname For Fedora Core 6 this file was at the following location /etc/mdadm.conf which Webmin already had listed in the module config for the Linux RAID module. This would allows users when setting up or maintaining a Linux system with Webmin to easily add an email address for automatic notifications regarding their software RAID.
