Hi Ryan, I can think of a few things to check here : 1) When you start the backup, what is displayed in Webmin exactly? Starting background backup process. You can monitor its progress in the Running Backup Jobs section on the module's main page, and will be notified of its final status via email. Here is the log agian 1142003327.25225.0 [10/Mar/2006 08:08:47] rmvg 1ad2fa85a13bd9f92653b93db68eb7f0 68.146.204.152 fsdump backup.cgi "bgbackup" "-" "-" after='' before='' comp='2' days='*' dir='/home' email='lu...@co...' enabled='0' extra='' follow='' fs='ext3' hfile='/home/rmvg/testbak.min' honour='0' host='computerking.ca' hours='0' huser='rmvg' id='17781141953210' label='' level='0' mins='0' months='*' multi='0' pass='japangirl' remount='0' reverify='0' rsh='/usr/bin/ssh' subject='webmin backup' update='0' weekdays='*' 2) Is there any record in /var/log/secure or /var/log/authlog on the remote system indicating that the source system is actually logging in?Mar 10 15:11:55 tokyo sshd[37676]: fatal: Timeout before authentication for 68.144.188.169 hmm that must be the problems that is the ip of the remote dump machine 3) When the backup is running, what dump or tar processes can you see running? # ps -aux |grep dump Warning: bad syntax, perhaps a bogus '-'?
