While I am piping in about the postfix ACL stuff, I thought I would add a few requests ;) -Webmin Users: Add pulldown lists for groups just like users. I might actually tackle this one myself :) -BIND and Apache: I have been using a simple way to allow sub-admins to control their own DNS and httpd vhost files by using include files for each sub-admin or sub-admin group... they can keep the include file in their own directory, if necessary, for hand editing for those who prefer to do quickies that way. This works excellent in most cases, except that it is difficult to keep the ACL list of allowed domains in sync if someone adds a new one by hand... To combat this, I clone the modules and set their main conf files location (as well as the 'add new domains to') to their included ones... this works well and has the added benefit of only showing the dns records they own... I use a similar include+clone with apache. It would be nice to not have to clone the modules to get this effect, and, prevent possible problems if they have any access to edit a main server config option which may be erroneously added to their include, but not the main named.conf or httpd.conf file. Also to be able to test the changes and revert to the last good config or remove their include completely if necessary (I am unsure how the apache module's check config currently works)... Plus, a seperate module or additional options in the bind, apache, mail modules to control or administer the include file allocations by super-admins would be nice ;) Also for Postfix, separate controls for relay(secondary MX) and local domain (primary MX) domain maps like the sendmail module. I'm pretty sure many people want this, as I've seen a lot of posts asking how, etc... it is just a simple 'virtual domain' thing, but, I think it should be handled more simply and separate from the virtual domain file. ;) Anyways, just a thought... I love Webmin and have been happily using it for a very, very long time.
