Is this perhaps a Qt 4 version Qt 3 issue? I'm afraid I haven't used
Qt, so I'm afraid I can't help with the details. Can someone more
familiar with Qt shed some light on the issue?

You can also just avoid the issue (if that's an option) by turning off
VGUI_USE_QT.
