There is no single source for architectural/design documentation for the entire VuFind project. Is there a particular question you are trying to answer? If so, I might be able to point you in the right direction. In the meantime, a few suggestions: 1.) VuFind tries, as much as possible, to use standard Zend Framework 2 conventions for model-view-controller and use of various helpers. Understanding ZF2 is the best entry point to the code base. 2.) There are some diagrams on this JIRA ticket from design discussions a few years ago: https://vufind.org/jira/browse/VUFIND-674 -- I suspect they are outdated, and some may be purely hypothetical, so I wouldn’t give them too much weight. However, this is probably the most formal diagrams you are likely to find. 3.) If you are interested in learning more about VuFind’s search subsystem, this 2013 presentation may be helpful: http://vufind.org/docs/summit2013/search.ppt -- it also appears to include a (probably updated) version of one of the diagrams from #2 above. Since VuFind is to a large extent the process of organic growth, the formal documentation is definitely lacking in areas like this. I am, of course, happy to publish such documentation if anyone has the time and interest to create it. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance! - Demian From: Assaf Weinrib [mailto:as...@po...] Sent: Thursday, April 09, 2015 5:45 AM To: VUfind Mailing list (vuf...@li...)
