A couple of thoughts: 1.) Watch out for indentation; searchspecs.yaml can be very picky about a misplaced space here or there. 2.) Check the field types you are using. If you add fields that have different analysis rules (like inconsistent stopword lists, for example), it can cause searches to fail - if necessary, you may have to create copyField directives in your Solr schema to ensure that all of the fields being searched follow the same basic rules. Does that help? Feel free to share an example section if you need more specific guidance. - Demian From: Stephen Hovey [mailto:ho...@bu...] Sent: Tuesday, April 09, 2013 12:00 PM To: vuf...@li... Subject: [VuFind-General] I'm really not understanding searchspecs.yaml I thought I had this down, and how to add fields to my all fields search. And it does in fact find things like ocn which I added, however, with the additional fields in there, my title search is broken. If I search "Gone with the wind" with quotes, it finds it, but without quotes it does not. I put back in the vufind 1.3 virgin searchspecs.yaml.. gone with the wind without the quotes is found.. I add back just the 1 index field, and it isn't found. Any ideas or guidance on where to look to get a handle on how I am breaking this so easily? ________________________________ The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System has more than 2.6 million materials available for borrowing including books, eBooks, DVDs, music and more.
