Thank you for sharing this -- looks very interesting! Regarding issue #1, when you click the "retain my current filters" box, this triggers some Javascript code that toggles a set of hidden checkboxes. Is it possible that there are ID conflicts with your Processing code that are causing a problem? Are you always seeing this issue whether or not your Processing code is enabled, or do the checkboxes only break while Processing is active? Regarding issue #2, you may need to add an .htaccess file to the directory containing your .pde file; take a look at this .htaccess from the CSS directory as an example: https://vufind.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/vufind/trunk/web/interface/themes/blueprint/css/.htaccess - Demian ________________________________________ From: Evgene [rev...@gm...] Sent: Monday, April 08, 2013 5:19 PM To: vuf...@li... Subject: [VuFind-Tech] VuFind 1.x + Processing.js (couple of bugs) Hello Dear All. I'm implementing a visualization interface for VuFind 1.x in Processing language. In a couple of words: it consists of four files: 1) Recommendation Module made from Demians' pattern. 2) JavaScript file with several functions, needed to parse data, that Recommendations module arrange in JSON Object 3) JavaScript Processing.js external visualization library 4) The template file where all the graphics and user interactions described as functions and classes in Procesing language and canvas where all the graphics drawn. You can see the current state in attached screenshot. <http://vufind.2307425.n4.nabble.com/file/n4661950/cloud.png> I want to contribute the code to the VuFind community in a short time. Currently I'm at debugging and optimizing level of development. That is why I'm asking for your help in couple of issues: 1) "Retain my current filters" doesn't work and I can't find out why this is happening. If unchecking the checkbox new page loads as it was checked, and "retain my current filters" appears to be checked again. When changing its default value to false in searches.ini file it cannot be applied. Checkbox appears, I try to apply it, but Results List loads as if "retain my current filters" where unchecked. Where can I search for solution? Is it JavaScript problem? 2) Second issue is a bit hard to explain. Processing language can be written as JavaScript scripts within the template file(as implemented now) but it also can be excluded to external file with ".pde" extension. In this way a canvas tag of template file comes to look: <canvas data-processing-sources ="PATH_TO_THE FILE.PDE"></canvas> And here starts the problem - the only way I've made it to work was if I put my .pde file at usr/local/vufind/web (e.g. root) and wrote within canvas tag: <canvas data-processing-sources="/vufind/test.pde"></canvas>. Even if I create my own folder in root and put it there it stop working. How can I find the right PATH values to path to canvas? For example /vufind/interface/themes/blueprint/test.pde doesn't work also. Can it happen because Smarty template engine doesn't recognize the .pde extension? Those are two major problems for now, that I really try to solve about a week and don't even get closer to solution. You can visit my project demo at my home server by link: http://revolver4u.no-ip.org/vufind/ It is not always up, but I will try to keep it on several days for you. Thank you for your attention. I hope you can understand what are the problems I've described.
