Hi again, going back to a previous version of the vhost-configuration-file and vufind-config.ini at least solved the 404-error for me, as the server is working with the kai.fh-swf.de URL again as wanted and as it already did yesterday. I was beginning to fear that the dreaded amnesia was back, but there must have been a glitch somewhere in either the vhost-file or the config.ini - though I suspect the vhost-file. Anyway, having a lot of other things on my agenda, I'm not going to tempt fate but keep with the way things are working now without bothering about wether it's the "true way" or not. If anybody has the time and wants to checkout what exactly glitcht: here is another set of files for comparision. :-) Kate Am 21.03.2013 10:46 schrieb Katharina Wolkwitz: > Hi Tom, > > thanks for your help. > When I tried to follow your tipps I got an Error 403 (Access denied or index > document missing), also the rewrite_module-warning still appeared when I > restarted apache. > I've added both the vhost-configuration-file and vufind-config.ini as > .notworking to the mail. > > For comparisions sake I've attached both the vhost-configuration-file and > vufind-config.ini as .working with which the connection via kai.fh-swf.de to the > startpage of our vufind-installation is working as wanted. > Sadly the rest of the vufind installation now gets 404 errors in the apache > access_log, so I really need to work this out. :-( > > Kate > > Am 20.03.2013 15:48 schrieb Thomas Misilo: >> What I think you are trying to do is have it work by going to http://kai.fh-swf.de/ and not http://kai.fh-swf.de/vufind correct? >> >> If so, you would want to make sure to update the config you attached. >> >> Uncomment Line 2, comment line 3 >> >> Change line 22 to just RewriteBase / >> >> Be sure to clean out the cache, and make sure to update the vufind config.ini. >> >> Tom >> >> -----Original Message----- >> From: Katharina Wolkwitz [mailto:wol...@fh...] >> Sent: Wednesday, March 20, 2013 10:13 AM >> To: vuf...@li... >> Subject: [VuFind-General] Vufind 1.4 document-root >> >> Hi everybody, >> >> since we've now at the stage to have our final DNS-name for our server :-) >> >> kai.fh-swf.de >> >> we of course wanted to have vufind to start up from that adress. >> >> We tried the tipp posted by Oliver Goldschmidt at http://www.tub.tu-harburg.de/tubfind-blog/2010/09/29/fahrplan-zur-vufind-nachnutzung/ >> but couldn't get it to work it that way. >> >> Taking a closer look at our /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/kai.fh-swf.conf and seeing the following error-messages when restarting apache: >> >> [Wed Mar 20 15:00:29 2013] [warn] module rewrite_module is already loaded, skipping Syntax OK Shutting down httpd2 (waiting for all children to terminate) >> done Starting httpd2 (prefork) [Wed Mar 20 15:00:32 2013] [warn] module rewrite_module is already loaded, skipping >> >> I guess, somehow the problem might lie with the rewrite_module, which is way above my knowledge-class.
