Ahh, yes, that makes sense - the path should not have a trailing slash on it, so for a root installation, it needs to be a blank string. Subject: Re: [VuFind-Tech] Serving VuFind from the root (withou /vufind) I can't think of a good reason why setting path to "/" should break the system. Perhaps there is a bug somewhere. Subject: Re: [VuFind-Tech] Serving VuFind from the root (withou /vufind) Strangely the path needs to be set to same as the whole url. Setting it as "/" breaks the system. ## WRONG, this breaks the system path = / url = http://eviikki.hulib.helsinki.fi ## RIGHT, this works path = http://eviikki.hulib.helsinki.fi url = http://eviikki.hulib.helsinki.fi Now it seems to work, thanks a lot! -Mika 2011/1/17 Osullivan L. <L.O...@sw...<mailto:L.O...@sw...>> Hi Mika, I believe that is controlled by the settings in config.ini. You may also need to empty the cache and compile folders in web/interface. Subject: Re: [VuFind-Tech] Serving VuFind from the root (withou /vufind) Thanks for the tip. I actually managed to the extent, that the main page is served from the root. But after I click search, the url changes to http://my_base_url/vufind/Search/Results?lookfor=&type=AllFields&submit=Find, so the vufind appears on the post link. But again, If I click on a record link, the browser points to: http://my_base_url/Record/2204433, which is correct. So my question is: how can I remove the /vufind/ section from the search forms, post link? thanks, Mika 2011/1/17 Osullivan L. <L.O...@sw...<mailto:L.O...@sw...>> Hi Mika, You'll have to edit the httpd-vufind.conf file in the vufind root folder and config.ini in vufind/web/Conf Have a look at http://vufind.org/wiki/installing_multiple_instances#edit_httpd-vufind.conf for some helpful details. I hope this helps, Luke From: mikan.d.dspace listmail [mailto:mik...@gm...<mailto:mik...@gm...>] Sent: 17 January 2011 13:07 To: vuf...@li...<mailto:vuf...@li...> Subject: [VuFind-Tech] Serving VuFind from the root (withou /vufind) Hi, Im trying to serve vufind from Apache root, without having to put the /vufind at the end of url. What kind of configuration would I have to make? thanks, Mika |
