We have an issue with a few of the formats that VuFind assigns to records out-of-the-box. One is "Kit" which VuFind is assigning to records with a leader byte 6 or O or P. Since P is technically "Mixed material" I'd like to change our VuFind installation to assign "Kit" only to LDR/06 = O and define a different format for LDR/06 = P. Once upon a time I found a MarcImporter.java file that contained a section defining formats (see below). Problem is, the MarcImporter.java file I have found at our current version doesn't contain that section, and my VuFind systems admin is not available right now to ask. Can anyone help me locate where VuFind is now defining Formats? I didn't imagine the section below, right? Have I gone crazy? // check the Leader leaderBit = leader.charAt(6); switch (Character.toUpperCase(leaderBit)) { case 'C': case 'D': return "Musical Score"; case 'E': case 'F': return "Map"; case 'G': return "Slide"; case 'I': case 'J': return "Audio"; case 'K': return "Photo"; case 'M': return "Electronic"; case 'O': case 'P': return "Kit"; case 'R': return "Physical Object"; case 'T': return "Manuscript"; } -- Tania Fersenheim Library Systems Project Manager Brandeis University Library and Technology Services 415 South Street, (MS 017/P.O.
