Hello. I'm sorry to say I haven't seen any of these exact problems before myself, but here are a few thoughts that might help: 1.) Have you looked at the lines in the files that are causing warnings? For example, that "lang/en.ini on line 75" error is extremely strange -- it might be interesting to see what's at line 75 in your copy of the file, and maybe even removing the line temporarily to see if it affects anything. I wonder if your copy of the file is somehow corrupted, or if there's some weird character encoding glitch that's causing trouble under Windows. 2.) The notices in Home.php around line 74 seem to imply that you're not getting the expected results back from Solr. It might be worth adding a "print_r($result)" just above the $interface->assign lines to see exactly what's coming back. If your index is completely empty, this probably isn't a surprising result... but if you have data in there, perhaps you'll find signs of a Solr communication problem. 3.) Your 404 error certainly sounds like some kind of mod_rewrite problem. How are you including the VuFind settings in your Apache configuration? Is it possible that some settings are conflicting somewhere? Have you tried looking at the Apache logs for clues? It might be worth turning on the RewriteLog setting to see if that offers any clues to what's going on. Some notes on that setting are available here: http://www.latenightpc.com/blog/archives/2007/09/05/a-couple-ways-to-debug-mod_rewrite Good luck, and please let me know if there's anything more I can do to help! - Demian > -----Original Message----- > From: Levy, Michael [mailto:ml...@us...] > Sent: Wednesday, October 07, 2009 12:02 PM > To: vuf...@li... > Subject: [VuFind-General] Installation issues in Windows using XAMPP > > Hi, I'm working on a trial installation on a Windows XP desktop, using > XAMPP.
