Hello. I'm using vtun and tun device (over udp protocol) compressed with lzo, level 6 to connect two localisations, physically linked together with 802.11b radio. The tunnel helps me to shape the traffic, and the compression saves the radio's bandwidth. (and the ip tunnel helps to stop broadcast and arp traffic as i think). The configuration looks like that: ISP -> server 1 (public class: xx.xx.196.96/28 on eth1 and assigned ip address: xx.xx.196.97), vtund server. eth2(10.100.100.1) is directly connected to the accesspoint --> radio link --> server2: eth0 (10.100.100.2) vtund client. The configs: xx.xx.196. - still the same public IP's class. server1: default { compress lzo:6; # Compression is off by default speed 0; # By default maximum speed, NO shaping } # TUN example. Session 'cobra'. cobra { passwd $$$$$; type tun; # IP tunnel proto udp; # UDP protocol keepalive yes; # Keep connection alive persist yes; up { # Connection is Up ifconfig "%% xx.xx.196.109 pointopoint xx.xx.196.108 mtu 1450"; }; } server2: cobra { passwd $$$$; type tun; # IP tunnel proto udp; # UDP protocol keepalive yes; # Keep connection alive persist yes; up { # Connection is Up ifconfig "%% xx.xx.196.108 pointopoint xx.xx.196.109 mtu 1450"; route "add default gw xx.xx.196.109"; program "echo 'tunnel's up.' >>/root/bledy-tunelu"; }; down { program "echo 'tunnel's down!' >>/root/bledy-tunelu"; } } eth1 of server2 is 192.168.1.1/24 and it's connected to a LAN and masqueraded to xx.xx.196.108 (from tun) With this configuration - almost everythink works great. Except for some webpages, ie: www.wizzair.com ; store.yahoo.com ; www.deviantart.com (these were reported by our customers). What can be wrong? When I stop vtund and change routing options - these sites work properly.. What's wrong? Tomek. |
