Have you received any news from Gary? Maybe we should think about including 
your patch in trunk anyway, perhaps upgrading it first to RtMIDI 1.0.15; I've 
included patched RtMIDI classes in VMPK several times in the past, which have 
been always included in RtMIDI much later.
