Hi, Ik had virtuoso installeld with homebrew on Mas OS X for a feew years. Trying to install elixir language with homebrew conflicted with the messages below. Is there a resolution available? Thanks, Peter ========== ➜ elixir brew install elixir ==> Installing dependencies for elixir: unixodbc, libtiff, wxmac, erlang ==> Installing elixir dependency: unixodbc Error: Cannot install unixodbc because conflicting formulae are installed. virtuoso: because Both install `isql` binaries. Please `brew unlink virtuoso` before continuing. Unlinking removes a formula's symlinks from /usr/local. You can link the formula again after the install finishes. You can --force this install, but the build may fail or cause obscure side-effects in the resulting software. ➜ elixir ➜ elixir brew info virtuoso virtuoso: stable 7.1.0, HEAD http://virtuoso.openlinksw.com/wiki/main/ Conflicts with: unixodbc /usr/local/Cellar/virtuoso/7.1.0 (196 files, 106M) * Built from source From: https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew/blob/master/Library/Formula/virtuoso.rb ==> Dependencies Build: gawk ✔ ==> Caveats NOTE: the Virtuoso server will start up several times on port 1111 during the install process. |
