v4l-test 0.8 released

The v4l-test project is a testsuite for Video for Linux Two specification, revision 0.24. You can test webcams, tuner cards or other devices which implements the V4L2 API. If you don't have such device available you can still run the test against the "Virtual Video Driver" (vivi). This release adds new test cases for VIDIOC_G_CROP, VIDIOC_G_CTRL and VIDIOC_S_CTRL. This release adds test cases for VIDIOC_ENUMOUTPUT, VIDIOC_ENUMAUDOUT and VIDIOC_QUERYCTRL. New test cases were created for VIDIOC_ENUMAUDIO, VIDIOC_ENUM_FMT and VIDIOC_ENUM_STD. See http://v4l-test.sourceforge.net/ for details.

v4l-test 0.2 released

v4l-test is a project which tests the V4L2 drivers of Linux kernel. The goal is to check whether the drivers fulfills the V4L2 specification revision 0.24.
This release adds some test cases for ioctl calls with NULL parameter and some test cases for VIDIOC_CROPCAP.

v4l-test: 0.1 released

Test environment of Video for Linux API based Linux kernel drivers.

"v4l-test" is a test environment for Video for Linux. Two device drivers running under Linux. Is my video driver for webcam or tuner stable? Is it conform to the V4L2 specification? The goal of this project to answer these questions.
This first release has only a few test cases, but it can already tell something about your driver you might use.
