On the host ? In which case this is something to do with the hosts
setup as far as I can see. Do you always get these or only when

Okay, how about doing this :-

linux con0=tty:/dev/tty6 con1=tty:/dev/tty7 (and the rest)

con0 seems to be the initial console, so it may solve the problem.
