Hi, I'm doing some benchmarking of UML performance. As part of this, I have been testing various methods of filesystem access (by doing a kernel compile on differently-mounted filesystems). So far, I've tried hostfs and 'vanilla' filesystem-in-a-file. The vanilla one outperforms the hostfs significantly. Now I'd like to try an NFS mounted filesystem (exported from the hostfs) but there's no NFS filesystem support in the UML kernel. Before I go recompiling, does anyone already know what I will get?? Thanks in advance! Jeff, sorry I haven't been able to update you with my server consolidation work so far, I've had hardware problems (a fried Athlon, by the looks of it) so progress has not been rapid... -- Michael Pacey mi...@wd...
