Kolja, If my memory serves me correctly, I tried patching urjtag-0.7 release amd.c with amd.c.diff, but it appears that it didn't want to patch smoothly?? I attempted to manually compare and modify but the only thing I got working successfully was flash erase, flashmem (writing) would not work (verify failed). It seemed that there were some other differences between cfi.c, jedec.c, etc (although I admit, this is really out of my area) As is, the source files in http://www.kurobox.com/downloads/JTAG/jtagdir.tar work on my Spansion flash without modification or patching (amd.c.diff, etc) - they just recognize it as generic AMD style flash. If you can port the flash relevant changes from http://www.kurobox.com/downloads/JTAG/jtagdir.tar over to urjtag, I would be more than happy to test it out and report my findings. I just came across your related posting at forum.dsmg600.info with the report about the working openwince JTAG tools patched for kurobox and recorded the links to it in Bug Tracker item #1869650. That tar.gz contains an amd.c.diff. Maybe you could try and apply its contents patch to UrJTAG (it probably requires some additional work)? Or, if I apply the patch, do you have the time to verify whether it works? At least for a quick yes/no test? Thanks for your report Kolja |
