Hi, I tried a few values, and didn't see an improvement, so I started a "systematic" approach: As a start, I fixed SR44 and SR45 to reasonable values, and tried the influence of SR46: SR44="130" SR45="136" (those are from some 1024x768 mode, which I would have "liked" on the screen): Typically, I got 3 different frequency pairs as output, one for the "1600x1200" entry in XF86Config, one for "1280x1024" and one for everything smaller (starting at "1152x864") f_H and f_V are again frequencies as reported by OSD. "-" means that the LCD reported "no signal". I started from SR=0 to SR=16, then got bored and only tested the new bit positions 32,64,128 and their direct neighbours to see a trend. At first sight, there clear is a multiplicative connection for values "0" to "33" (I would assume until "63"), with (SR46+2)*frequency = const. If bit 6 ("64") is set, bits 0-5 are ignored. Bit 7 has no influence for the "0" to "63" modes, but enabling 6+7 ("192") at the same time is different from 6 alone, though still 0-5 are ignored. Is this how it's supposed to work? chl SR46 f_H f_V "1600x1400" "1280x1024" "smaller" "0" 82.9 56.3 295.4 200.2 - - "1" 55.3 37.5 196.8 133.6 - - "2" 41.4 28.1 147.6 100.2 147.6 328.9 "3" - - 118.1 80.1 118.1 262.9 "4" - - 98.4 66.8 98.4 219.2 "5" - - 84.3 57.2 84.3 187.9 "6" - - 73.8 50.1 73.8 164.4 "7" - - 65.6 44.5 65.6 146.1 "8" - - 59.0 40.0 59.0 131.5 "9" - - 53.6 36.4 53.6 119.5 "10" - - 49.2 33.4 49.2 109.6 "11" - - 45.2 30.8 45.2 101.1 "12" - - 42.1 28.6 42.1 93.9 "13" - - 39.3 26.7 39.3 87.6 "14" - - 36.9 25.0 36.9 82.2 "15" - - 34.7 23.5 34.7 77.3 "16" - - - - 32.8 73.0 "32" - - - - 17.3 38.6 "33" - - - - 16.8 37.6 "64" 90.4 61.4 322.0 218.2 - - "65" 90.4 61.4 322.0 218.9 - - "66" 90.4 61.4 322.2 218.9 - - "127" 90.4 61.4 322.2 218.9 - - "128" 82.9 56.3 295.2 200.2 - - "129" 55.2 37.2 196.8 133.6 - - "130" 41.4 28.1 147.6 100.2 147.6 328.9 "143" - - 34.7 23.5 34.7 77.4 "192" 98.8 67.0 352.0 239.0 - - "193" 98.8 67.0 352.3 239.0 - - |
