Chaps, It may be possible to get around the need for a netbios name in the DOS boot disk by manually editing LMHOSTS. I have done this for a commercial imaging product "RapidDeploy" from Altiris. It is a bit of a pain to remember to edit this file, but if you put the hostname you want and the IP number in there then the MS networking client in DOS will be able to find it using IP.
