#48 Expand messages option does not show full message

I enabled the "Expand messages" option in the Preferences menu, yet the messages shown at the bottom of Twitux are cut off, sometimes by only half a line and other times by a full line. This varies based on how wide I set the window to be. I prefer a setting of around 300px wide. With that width selected, if the message spans 2 lines the second line only has the top half of it shown. If the message has 3 lines the third line is almost not visible. This creates problems when I need to access a link at the end of a tweet.
