Greetings, Yup, that did the trick (that was kinda lame, I should have tested that ear= lier), now I have the same problem as alot of other users have had as far a= s I can see. I have a Geforce2 graphics card, and I use the nVidia driver for XFree86 (4= .0.2), and I loaded the GLX module, but when I launch Tuxracer, it's slower= than anything I have ever seen. This also goes for all other GL games on the computer, so evidently there's= a GL problem here. I will do some research on my own, but if you have any = immediate suggestions, I'd appreciate it. Cheers. --=20 Best regards, -Erik- On Mon, 2001-12-17 at 08:40, Jesper Jakobsen wrote: > Hi >=20 > >I get this output when I try to launch Tuxracer; > > > >Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". > >Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". > >*** tuxracer error: Couldn't initialize video: Couldn't find matching > >GLX visual (Success) > >So, everything looks good there.=20 > > > >Anyone have suggestions? > >I am running Slackware 8.0, kernel 2.4.16 (patched), and I know my > >system configuration is rather tight, but I can't see any immediate > >reason why this shouldn't work. >=20 > My guess is that you have not loaded GLX... >=20 > Check youre XFree configuration file in the "Modules" section, if it does= not load > GLX add it to the list of modules and restart the X server. >=20 > Hope it helps >=20 > - Jesper >=20 >=20 |
