So, the problem is nothing to do with GLUT - it's because the relevent X libraries are not being linked in during the configure tests for GLUT. > ... gcc -o conftest conftest.c -ltcl8.0 -L/usr/lib > -Wl,-rpath,/usr/lib -lSDL -lpthread -lSDL_mixer -lGL -lGLU -lglut 1>&5 See! It didn't link in -lX11 -lXi -lXext -lXmu ...no wonder the test for GLUT failed! At this point, I think we have to punt this problem back at Jasmin et al. I think there is something wrong with the auto-detection of the X libraries in configure.in...but that only explains an incorrect missing dependancy report. There is still something wrong with your X windows installation. I suggest you check for libX11.so , libXi.so, libXext.so and libXmu.so in /usr/X11R6/lib - and other likely places. -- Steve Baker HomeEmail: <sjb...@ai...> WorkEmail: <sj...@li...> HomePage : http://web2.airmail.net/sjbaker1 Projects : http://plib.sourceforge.net http://tuxaqfh.sourceforge.net http://tuxkart.sourceforge.net http://prettypoly.sourceforge.net |
