Yes, this is because the code needs some slight tweaks to compile
under GCC 4.0.x, which I have not got around to taking care of because
I don't have 4.0.x installed.

This is something I will try and get to soon, but with the holidays
approaching it'll likely be after the first of the year. Currently gcc
3.x is your only real option.
