Franz, Here's a little history on the project. Sean Bridges (sgb) is the project creator and original lead developer. Without him, none of us would be blessed with triplea. Sean has turned the role of lead dev. over to me for a while so he can take a bit of a vacation- though he's still active and puts out the releases as I don't have access to a Mac. I'm more than willing to help you get your feet wet and review your work. A patch file is a file that can be created by various development engines (e.g. Eclipse). It includes the code that has been changed and can easily be integrated without much manual intervention. However, since the development community is rather small at this time, I'll gladly review and incorporate your changes based on the complete files you've attached. As far as your particular Nat'l Objective patch goes, there may already be (undocumented) ways to accomplish the same thing as a result of my recent work on AA50. When I get a bit of time, I'll review your changes and compare them to what already exists. I really need to get the documentation created for the new XML rules that are possible, but there are only so many hours... :) In the mean time, feel free to poke around in the code and play lots of games (locally or in the lobby). If you see bugs, you can open a ticked on the project page of SourceForge or for now, you can report them in the bug topic on the wiki forum. I've updated substance to version 5.2, and removed the looks jar file. If you are using an IDE, you'll have to update your build path when you update from svn. Sean |
