Umm, yes, that's exactly what I meant with "longer translator comments should continue to be given as comments". Perhaps you missed the context when quoting the above. Some were questioning that the disambiguating extensions weren't verbose enough and not giving the translators the whole picture anyway. I was just trying to point out that the disambiguating extensions should be as short and precise as possible and that longer explanations of the context can continue to be given as comments.
