Hi, I'm writing advanced C++ output formatting library that integrates with GNU gettext. It allows translation of complicated declinations like ordinal numbers without involving any locale dependent code in the application software. I'm currently progressing to formatting locale translate numbers like producing Chinese financial numbers from standard English formats. It is available from http://code.google.com/p/speaknumber/downloads/list?saved=1&ts=1284027078 archives. Do have a read of conform.html and feel free to compile the source code in conform1.0-1.tar if you want to give it a try. This is a project in development so the bit I'm working on right now is very unfinished, but things like the ordinals should work fine for any locale. If you want an easy introduction then there is also internationalization.html that takes l10n as far as I could take it without the new conform library. All feedback is welcome. |
