This is with the XEmacs Package version of Tramp, I haven't yet tested with SF CVS head. Will do so shortly. I'm having a problem with directories that are symlinks. Example (tested locally using 'sm' to my 'root' account): In /root, I: mkdir temp ln -s temp temp-symlink C-x C-f /[local] (my ~/.ssh/config is set up for it) try to enter the 'temp-symlink' directory I get: The directory containing /[sm/local]/root/temp-symlink//root/temp-symlink does not exist. Create? (y or n) No What's happening here? My biggest problem is that my $HOME on one of my shell accounts is a symlinked directory, so I can't just 'C-x C-f /[machine]', I have to specify the whole (non-symlinked) path which is something like '/mnt/home1/home1/youngs/' ('/home/youngs/' is symlinked to that).
