Ok, I'll try the X11 Qt way, but should I just use 'configure --without-kde= ' with the unmodified 'configure' file? I modified the configure file so basically the Qt directory variables are hardcoded. For some reason --with-qt-* options were having no effect and Qt wasn't being found.
