A couple of bugs that I have noticed with this build so far (fedora FC4, oracle 9.2.0.6, gnome): 1. search and replace doesn't move to the next character position after a replace, so if you don't hit 'find next' again twice, it will keep replacing the same character over and over again. (I was doing a search for ' and replacing with '' in a sql text string) 2. Consequently if you ever hit 'replace all' it will go into a runaway loop replacing the same character over and over again forever, with no recovery. I have also noticed that the 'uppercase keywords' option doesn't work - while keywords are highlighted, they're not changed to uppercase as before. Further, tora refuses to start up from an icon anymore (set to run /usr/X11R6/bin/tora). I have to start it up from a terminal. I have tracked it down to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH having to include /usr/X11R6/lib in it, even though it is in /etc/ld.so.conf and I did run ldconfig. Other than that, this version looks much slicker and is definitely easier to use from the text readability point of view! cheers! --Raj. > In some cases you also might need to run ldconfig after building > qscintilla shared library. > > Alexey > > Raj wrote: > > >doesn't seem to work for me.. > > > > > >rm -fr .libs/libtoalert.la .libs/libtoalert.* .libs/libtoalert.* > >gcc -shared toalert.lo -L/usr/X11R6/lib -L/usr/lib/qt-3.3/lib -lqt-mt > >-ljpeg -lSM -lICE -lXext -lX11 -lSM -lICE -lqscintilla -lstdc++ > >-lpthread -L/home/db/oracle/9.2/lib -lc -Wl,-soname -Wl,libtoalert > >-o .libs/libtoalert > >/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lqscintilla > >collect2: ld returned 1 exit status > >make[1]: *** [libtoalert.la] Error 1 > >make[1]: Leaving directory `/installs/tora/cvs/tora' > >make: *** [all] Error 2 > > > > > >any clues? just checked this version out of cvs. > > > >--Raj. > > > > > >On Fri, 2005-09-16 at 10:48 -0500, Neulinger, Nathan wrote: > > > > > >>FYI, linux build works.
