I am a long time tora user. I use it on Linux and FreeBSD. I have been using it on Mac OS X painfully for quite some time due to the lack of free native Qt libraries... I had to use an X server and forego the benefits or running it "along side" other apps in the Aqua framework... No more. I have built disk images for tora linked against Oracle's native 8.1.7.1 OCI libraries for Mac OS X (available through technet.oracle.com) and Qt's libraries... To save a bit of effort, here is a link: http://mirrors.omniti.com/oracle/ You can get Qt DMG and tora DMG at the above link. The oracle libraries must be downloaded from Oracle (I don't even want to try to interpret their license for redistribution). Oracle libs must be installed in: /dsk2/src_020404 as they are linked in dynamically and it looks for: /dsk2/src_020404/lib/libclntsh.dylib exlicitly. If you install it elsewhere, just stub out /dsk2 and link src_020404 to your existing ORACLE_HOME.
