To Technical Department, =09 I am looking at TORA as a possible, more cost-effective, alternative to = TOAD for my organisation. Potentially anywhere between 10 and 500 = licences. We work predominately with Oracle databases. As I have not had enough time to thoroughly compare you product to = others we currently use, I would appreciate it if you could in five or = six dot points, outline any special features, apart from price, that = you feel your product has that your competition (eg TOAD) either does = not have, or that yours does better eg. the Schema comparison facility = , or loading BLOBS and CLOBS from the file system. Also I would appreciate if you would address the following questions: 1. Is the ability to compare schemas across database instances a = feature supported in TORA? 2. Does TORA allow for the loading of images in various formats (eg = jpegs, gifs, tiffs). 3. Can BLOBS and CLOBS be uploaded to and downloaded from the database, = into the filing system. 4. Is the Oracle ORDSYS.ORDIMAGE data type supported and if so, could = image attributes imbedded in the binary file can be read from the = image into metadata fields when loading? 5. Does TORA handle Oracle Spatial column definitions and Spatial = Queries? 6. Can TORA export query output in csv or other delimited file format? 7. Is there an easy mechanism for bulk data loading data similar to = SQLLoader from delimited data files and if so can BLOBS and CLOBS also = be bulk-loaded from a spreadsheet with a pointer (path) to stored images = in a file system directory? Thank You in anticipation for you response.
