Oscar > - quad9, reduced integration, large deformations: the program runs and > converges but the maximum bearing capacity is only about 400 ('exact' result > is 771) post_line_dof really does not work for -quad9 elements with reduced integration. Thanks for spotting it! Stresses in nodes of footting are the same for -minimal and -maximal integration, -post_line_dof over footing width is significantly different (see cmpfoot_quad9.eps) > -tria3, full integration, large deformations: program runs but the > stress-deformation curve does not become horizontal but continues to grow. Your mesh is too coarse on the edge of footing. I have extended fine elements over footing edge (tria3upmin_fine.dat) and results are already very close to "true" solution (see cmpfoot_mesh.eps). Note unrealistic results with basic Tochnog! > - quad9, maximal integration and large deformations: the program gives an > error message. As you requested, I am including this input file called > foot2a.dat. The error message says: 'Exiting due to signal SIGSEGV'. Sorry for that, you use version of Tochnog, which was on my page before I have changed it for gcc 3.2.2. That version had a small bug in create.cc. The new one works. Thanks for help! David |
