Category: Generic >Group: 1.4.0 >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 9 Private: No Submitted By: Megabyte (megabyte2) Assigned to: Jan Nijtmans (nijtmans) Summary: --with-tk is missing from SVN. Initial Comment: Hello, I was trying to build tkImg for windows, and I noticed that it was trying to load the include files from a fixed path. I tried to run ./configure --with-tcl=PATH --with-tk=PATH, but --with-tk simply isn't supported by the current configuration file. Mjanssen said I should file a bug report in the TCL irc channel, because this feature should be supported. According to his own words (in the tcl irc channel): "<ijchain> <mjanssen> Megabyte file a bug for the missing --with-tk option, the README refers to it" The lack of this option means that I'm having to do some black magic to get TkImg compiled within Windows (using MSYS + Mingw). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Jan Nijtmans (nijtmans) Date: 2009-01-19 12:02 Message: fixed in r191 Good catch. Change #166 introduced this, which re-generated all configure scripts with autoconf-2.63. This autoconf version added a warning for all unsupported autoconf flag. Actually, the top configure never had an --with-tk option, but it just transfered all option to the lower-level configure with needed it. Previously, there just was no warning. Solution: implicitely add the --with-tk, --with-tclinclude, --with-tkinclude and --with-x options to all configure.in files, even those who don't need it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Andreas Kupries (andreas_kupries) Date: 2009-01-16 22:17 Message: I am suspecting change 190 for now. Note also, from the chat history ... [23:19] <Megabyte> gps: As you're here, I noticed that the broken trunk build needs the macro _ANSI_ARGS_ in that line. Why? [23:19] <Megabyte> gps: I also know by stu that it was considered as deprecated and being removed [23:19] <Megabyte> but somehow it prevents that bizarre magic substitution from happening This seems to point to trouble with change 188. And there was something about trouble with PNG as well, also by Megabyte ... That might be a problem introduced by change 189, the upgrade to png 1.2.34. Most likely it needs updates to the files in libpng/tcl. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Andreas Kupries (andreas_kupries) Date: 2009-01-16 21:54 Message: This option missing means that black magic will be required everywhere to build Tkimg, including things like ActiveTcl. Assigning to Jan for first investigation where this option was lost. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=465492&aid=2514136&group_id=52039 |
