Good morning Rudi, that's great that you are still interested in our work with libTISCH :D I will try to provide some help so you can fix your issues ;) On 03/20/2012 11:54 PM, Rudi Bonfiglioli wrote: > Hello there, > I am still trying to make libtisch work properly, this time with a > Kinect. However, I faced the following > problems: Ok, I think this one needs some words of explanation: Use freeglut 2.6 from the webpage of freeglut IFF you are working with a mouse as input device. Use freeglut provided in the repository IFF you use Kinect, FTIR inputs and so on ... the reason is as follows: the version in the repository has the multitouch patch directly included necessary for Kinect and so on ;) But that patch interferes with "singletouch" input "mouse". So, use the freeglut version in the repo for working with your Kinect. I hope this helps. > - In the video tutorial, the presenter at some point switches from a > gray-scale video stream from a normal one, and this seems to be quite > useful when filtering the area, but how to do it? It's not mentioned > in the video. This is a quite experimental feature I am working on currently, I am not sure whether this is already available in the repo. You can try it: when touchd is running start the configurator (pressing "c") and switch to color image (pressing "m") Since this feature is only reasonable using a Kinect I have to check whether it is already applied in the current repo version ... > - After setting an area filter and resetting the BGSUb-filtering, I > save, and without closing, I launch calibtool.exe. That depends on the recognition of your taps as "touches". Perhaps you have to fiddle around a little with the thresholding parameters and you should not move much your finger when you calibrate, so when you touch the surface > After the fourth corner, it asks me to touch another corner even > though there is no X on the screen. Yes that is known, if all four corners are properly detected, simply kill calibd.exe with Crtl-C ;) > At this point, I think I should run calibd.exe, but it crashes if I > try to run it. Yeah, there shouldn't be other IR light emitting source around, cause Kinect is working with IR to retrieve depth information. > Also, is there a well tested combination of the various versions of > libtisch/openkinect etc (like repo revisions)? > Greatly thankful in advance, > > Rudi I hope this statements where helpful and you get everything running ;) cheers Norbert > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > This SF email is sponsosred by: > Try Windows Azure free for 90 days Click Here > http://p.sf.net/sfu/sfd2d-msazure > > > _______________________________________________ > tisch-users mailing list > tis...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/tisch-users |
