If you get a tool like Colorzilla, the Firefox add-on, you can easily determine the exact colors used in a web page. For example, in the moreneat.css theme, Colorzilla tells that td#leftcolumn, td#centercolumn and td#rightcolumn have a #E9ECEF background color (Colozilla also indicates the div or td, etc. at the color indication point). This color appears below the side modules and main page content. Is this the "greyish-blue" color you see?
