Hi all I've implemented most of the existing functionality for the new quicktags (still not renamed) in the CoE experimental branch, but it will need some proper usage to shake out the bugs and find any missing bits, so i am hoping this part of the branch can be merged into trunk during the 'fest next week. The issues i am aware of are as follows: No ability yet to create custom buttons No ability yet to replace existing icons (linked to above) Toolbars not yet shared with WYSIWYG editor (see below **) Better feedback required for disabled features/plugins/perms etc Some missing buttons such as 'dynamic content', 'dynamic variable', the specific maps ones (what language are they?) ...any others? However, i have added a few nice new things, like separately customisable comments toolbars (for each section), integrated help tool etc, so hopefully it's good enough to bring in to trunk as it is. If you have a copy of coe and a spare 10 minutes, please can you take a look and let me know how you get on? Thanks! :) ** WYSIWYG I'm finding the whole editing process in the coe branch to be problematic - what's the state of play with this? (Sept?) Symptoms i'm getting are: In wiki mode: Add text and do a preview - new text disappears Save page and all content is cleared Was getting htmlentityencoding issues with quotes etc, but now everything disappears, so... In WYSIWYG mode Alert saying "tikiimage not found" (and no toolbar icons beyond bullet list) Preview comes back in wiki mode (but has the new text) Switching to wiki mode clears content Save page and all content is cleared (even if not switched modes) ...for instance, and this makes it very tricky to get any further with the toolbars. Are these bugs that i've introduced somehow? Or is it just work in progress? I'll continue to nose around but it's hard to see where the key differences are - hopefully we can resolve all this in Barcelona soon!
